Tim Arel Knows Property Management Legislation
One of the last things a property manager wants to do is evict tenants; however sometimes it unfortunately becomes necessary. In his position of Director if Property Manager for North Point Property Management, Tim Arel helps handle the eviction process for owners. He ensures any eviction is smooth and legally done. This includes putting together the required notices of eviction, working with attorneys to file court documents, and communicating with local law enforcement agents.
Some people have wondered if a property manager needs a license. Most states do require that they have either a real estate license or a license specifically in property management. Tim Arel has gone further and become certified in Association Management and Community Associations. He has also joined local boards and become a member of committees.
Property Managers must become familiar with the law and all legislation which pertains to property. They need to protect the interests of real estate owners and respect the rights of tenants. Tim Arel keeps himself apprised on all federal, state, and local laws such as the Federal Fair Housing Amendment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and all local fair housing legislation. He is responsible for North Point Property Management’s renting and advertising and makes sure it is fair and non-discriminatory. Tim is careful to watch for any issues which could increase liability exposure for the residential and commercial properties that he oversees. Another aspect of property management concerns the buildings themselves. All building codes and regulations must be maintained and Tim ensures this is the case with all of his communities. Additionally, he only uses fully licensed professionals for all work, such as maintenance, landscaping, repair, contracting, and interior design to ensure the maximum benefits to North Point’s properties.
